US $50.00

I was at Waldenbooks/Borders the other day and noticed that they had some.
Have you tried freezing it? Put it in the coldest freezer you've got for a couple of hours (or put it on a block of dry ice for several minutes. Dunno what the plastic is, but chances are the metal will contract enough that it'll come out. Or the plastic will get brittle enough you can crack it off.
Alternatively, cut to near the coin with a Dremel tool; repeat opposite that. Snap the holder in half.
RIP-OFF!!
As a fellow numismatic, the best way to store any coin is in a chemical free "Mylar flip". This is a clear plastic that does not cause discoloring or imperfections to the coin.
Those coin books are not the best to store good coins in.
You can purchase blank slabs but you would have to buy different ones for each type of coins. The Mylar flips are available from many sources.
Here are links to find what you need.
remember to wear cotton gloves while handling any coins, skin oil, will discolor and this will lower the grading value.
What a difference, compared to the coin from the 1715 fleet! This is a modern coin in all regards, and a beautiful work of art, at that! =^[.]^=
